Sales at Riverdale on Plenty have skyrocketed with AVJennings Developments reporting its best sales figures for a Victorian residential development.

Put to market on the weekend of October 27, more than 80 per cent of home-sites in the Chateau Release sold during the first weekend.

For the month of October, more than 70 blocks sold at the Mernda estate, smashing AVJennings’ highest Victorian record of 66 lots at The Chase in Berwick.

Underlining demand, more than 20 buyers started queuing at the Land sales office on Friday (October 26).

AVJennings Developments’ general manager, Mr Peter Hood, said the record sales figures confirmed the strength of Melbourne’s northern property market.

“Buyers are registering their interest in land well before we are able to release it to the market,” Mr Hood said.

“They’re attracted to the combination of views of the ranges, the estate’s natural feel and access to affordable blocks in a great location.”

Perfectly positioned next to the beautiful Nesci park, the Chateau Release attracted mainly first and second home buyers into the market with prices starting from as low as $115,950.

With demand for affordable housing at an all-time high, AVJennings Developments has released three stages in the last two months. The Riviera, Nesci and Chateau releases comprise 145 allotments with 107 of those sold to date.

In addition, a new display village has proven popular with both prospective homebuyers and design enthusiasts looking for contemporary designs with more than a touch of difference.

With the first stage open, buyers have the opportunity to inspect the 15 new homes built by a selection of Melbourne’s leading and award-winning builders.

Celebrating its 75th birthday in 2007, AVJennings is synonymous with the Australian way of life. In recent years, the company has expanded its activities as a developer of residential communities.
