AVJennings National Community Engagement

Max's big day out

We’re super proud to support the St Kilda Football club, but our favourite Saint has to be lifelong supporter Max Houlahan.   Ten year old Max joined his beloved team to run through the banner on Saturday night with his proud family watching on.

Max’s mum Joanne laughed as she describes Max’s inimitable passion for his club.

“The Saints are Max’s life. Come a Thursday evening, Max grabs my phone to watch the team selection, and then he gets his coach’s board and adjusts it to where the players are playing.”

AVJennings was match day partner for the Round 20 clash against the Western Bulldogs and it was great to engage with so many fans who enjoyed the activities we ran. It was our privilege to nominate someone to be the team mascot for the day and some one else to toss the coin.  We were delighted to meet Max who got to run through the banner with his heroes.

Likewise diehard Saints fan, Catherine Boktors heartfelt response to the question: What does it mean to you to be part of the Saints community? earned her the coin toss opportunity.

One of the best things about sponsoring a sporting club is it gives us the chance to spread some joy to people in the community by giving them a special experience. We do this because Community Matters.
