Senior Development Manager

The role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Development Manager who would be responsible for the delivery of larger, more complex land and housing development projects for our NSW team. Your main project would be our Mundamia project located in Nowra, south of Sydney, and you may also be required to work on some of our other projects around the greater Sydney area. 

Mundamia is a joint-venture project, and you will be required to manage multiple stages at the same time. This includes lead in works, services as well as a community centre, and staging of the bulk earthworks and the subdivision so the ability to create and implement a delivery strategy to stage the project is essential. Having the understanding of ecology, geotechnical and bushfire requirements would be beneficial to working on this project. 

To ensure the successful delivery of the project, you will work closely with the wider AVJ team including building, sales and marketing, while meeting quality, safety, programme and financial targets, and living by our company values. Subject to the requirements of the project/s, you will be required to work in the Norwest office three days per week, and have the ability to work from home.

Skills & experience

Ideally you will have experience and a proven track record in managing and delivering subdivision projects across the whole lifecycle e.g. including design, securing approvals, tendering, subdivision and built form construction. You will have demonstrated ability in project cashflow and budget management is necessary, preferably with a knowledge of Estate Master.

Your negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills must be well-developed.
