The ‘Renee’ series. A successful partnership.

“The partnership between the Steve Waugh Foundation and AVJennings brings together two iconic Australian brands who share one vision – to significantly change the lives of young Australians who suffer from rare diseases”. Steve Waugh AO, Chairman and Founder, Steve Waugh Foundation. The Steve Waugh Foundation strives to improve the quality of life for children and families affected by rare diseases. In partnership with AVJennings the Foundation works on various fundraising activities generating much needed funds. One of our most successful projects together, the ‘Renee’ series, began in 2012 when AVJennings committed to design, construct, and sell a home in an AVJennings community with the profits directed to the Steve Waugh Foundation. The series was named after a young Australian girl, Renee Eliades. As an official Steve Waugh Foundation Ambassador, Renee has a form of rare disease and like many young Australians will benefit from the money raised for the Foundation.

The first home, ‘The Renee’, in the Charterwood estate in Wadalba, NSW, was auctioned in February 2013 to great success. After the fantastic result at Charterwood, AVJennings again teamed up with The Steve Waugh Foundation later in 2013 to build a second home known as ‘The Renee II’ at AVJennings’ award-winning Lyndarum development in Victoria. The Renee II was successfully auctioned in March 2014 with the profits again being directed to the Steve Waugh Foundation to further assist it’s work in the identification, treatment, and research of rare diseases in children and youths. AVJennings is continuing it’s successful partnership with The Steve Waugh Foundation and planning to launch another project, The Renee III in late 2014.
